4. The chassis comes in a lift-off box. Remove the top and lift the box off the chassis. This makes it easier to
access the chassis.
5. Lift the chassis and place it on a table or workbench.
6. Carefully cut and remove the chassis from its plastic bag.
Three bags of screws and nuts are included with the chassis and are shipped inside the chassis box. Locate the
three bags and set them aside for later use.
Installation of the system is now ready to begin.
1.3 Selecting a Site (Office Installation)
Before installing the 9700, prepare the site to ensure the product will operate in the correct environment, all mate-
rials meet specifications, and all installation tasks can be performed.
1.3.1 Environment
This unit is installed in a controlled office environment that is affected by the existing installed equipment and
the specific requirements of the 9700 shelf. Refer to
Table 1-2 .
