Once the alarms are cleared and there are no other alarms, go to step 10. If alarms are still present, go to step

Turn system power off

Remove and replace the Control Module card for slot 8/9, following the guidelines in 1.10

Start the power sequence again (return to Step 1 and repeat Steps 1 - 4)

Since the Control Module in slot 8/9 has been replaced once and there are still faults, contact your ATI Tech-
nical Support. See

Stop Installation Procedure

Log into the system, input a user ID of officer and a password of officer

Execute the PURGE DATABASE command. The system will erase the initial configuration database, reboot,
and recover with factory defaults. This provides a baseline for startup system configuration.
The system is initially in the auto-provisioning mode by default. This means that hardware is discovered in a slot
where there is no prior provisioning and the cards and ports are automatically provisioned. This discovery occurs
when:

The card is inserted into a slot
•
The card is already inserted and the following occurs:
1.
The Control Module powers up
2.
The Control Module reboots
3.
The system mode is changed from manual to autoprov.

Determine the next step by whether the system will be in simplex or duplex configuration,

If simplex, go to section
•
If duplex, go to Step 14

Install the second Control Module card in slot 12/13, following the procedure in section
