Note: Do not over tighten the screw. Hand tighten to secure. Then install the tie wrap, pulling it snug
enough to secure the connector.

1.18.2 Network Module
1. Attach the optical cable to the GE3 card.
2. Attach the other end of the optical cable to the uplink device.
1.18.3 Data Management Cable (MGMT Port on Control Module)
Note: Connect this cable only if the user plans to use the 10/100T Gb MGMT port for the
management interface. Refer to the ATI User Guide.
Referring back to section 1.14.1 , the 9700 provides the user with the choice of two configurations, duplex or sim-
plex. For consistency, during initial startup, the system will be configured as simplex and then converted to
duplex mode.
Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the MGMT port on the Control Module card in slot 8/9 and connect the
other end to a port that connects to the TCP/IP network, as described in the ATI User Guide.
