Push-to-Talk (PTT) Functions 33
Making Alert Calls
1.
From the Home screen, press the
Send Key to display
Recent Calls.
2.
Highlight a PTT Group call record, then press the Left Soft
Key
Alert, then the
PTT/Side Key to send an
alert to the group. If a recipient answers the call,
“Connected to” displays on your phone’s screen.
3.
Press and hold the
PTT/Side Key, and begin talking.
“Talking to” displays on your phone screen.
4.
Release the
PTT/Side Key to listen.
5.
Alternate between pressing and holding the
PTT/
Side Key to talk, and releasing the PTT/Side Key to listen.
Making a PTT Group Call using a Temp Group
To set up a one-time PTT group call, use a Temp PTT Group.
Making Barge Calls
1.
Press the
PTT/Side Key to display the PTT Contact
List.

From the Home screen, select
MENU
➔
Contacts
➔
PTT Contact List.
2.
Press the Right Soft Key
Options
➔
Temp PTT Group.
3.
Press
ADD to select PTT Contacts.
4.
Press the
PTT/Side Key. A tone plays and and
“Connected to” displays.
5.
Press and hold the
PTT/Side Key, and begin talking.
“Talking to” displays on your phone screen.
6.
Press the
End/Power Key to end the call.
