Property

A free text display field. To modify the text that appears here, right-click the virtual
disk and select Manage > Edit Comment. You can use this field for any purpose.

Comment

The PiT granularity of the virtual disk. PiT granularity affects the capacity required
to store virtual disk updates after the creation of a snapshot PiT. The PiT granularity
is set to Large I/Os (1 MB) and is not configurable.

PiT granularity

If the virtual disk is a member of a virtual disk group, the name of the virtual disk
group.

VDG

The application associated with the virtual disk. For information about adding
application types and associating them with virtual disks, see “

Adding applications

to virtual disks

” on page 118.

Application Type

Yes indicates that this virtual disk is thin provisioned.

Is Thin Provision

The time at which the virtual disk was created.

Creation Time

The user who created the virtual disk.

Created By

The time at which the virtual disk was last modified.

Modification Time

The user who last modified the virtual disk.

Modified By

This setting indicates whether the virtual disk is a SAN API virtual disk. SAN API
virtual disks are created to enable hosts to direct SAN API commands to VSM
through a DPM. For information about creating SAN API virtual disk, see

SAN API Virtual Disk

The virtual disk's OpenVMS Unit ID (OUID). Possible values:

0—The virtual disk is considered as having no OUID assignment. This is the
default value.

1–32767

The stripe set Segment tab provides information about the mapping of virtual disks to Logical Block
Addresses (LBAs) on the stripe set.

Description

Display field

The row number.

No

The name of a virtual disk mapped to a stripe set. In the bottom row, a virtual disk
icon appears with no name. This row represents the free capacity left in the stripe
set.

Virtual Disk

The number of the first Logical Block Address (LBA) of the stripe set that is mapped
to the virtual disk.

Start LBA

The number of the LBAs in the stripe set mapped to the virtual disk.

LBA Count

The time of the last modification of the virtual disk.
