Stripe set information—Storage Pool tab
If the selected stripe set has been added to a storage pool, the Storage Pool tab displays the following
information about the storage pool to which the stripe set belongs. For information about adding
stripe sets to storage pools, see “
Creating storage pools ” on page 85 and
“ Expanding storage pools ” on page 87.

Description Property
The row number. No
The name of the storage pool to which the selected stripe set belongs. Name
The status of the storage pool. Possible values:
• Normal—All of the storage pool members are present and accessible.
• Absent—All members of the storage pool are absent.
• Partial—At least one back-end LU or stripe set configured in the storage pool
is absent or inaccessible.
• All members of the storage pool are inaccessible.
Status
The total capacity of the storage pool. Capacity
The capacity of the storage pool that is not yet included in virtual disks. Free Capacity
A free text display field. To modify the text that appears here, right-click the storage
pool and select Manage > Edit Comment. You can use this field for any purpose.
Comment
A percentage threshold, such that, if the free capacity drops below it, a notification
is sent to any notification groups configured to receive this type of notification.

Free Capacity Alert
Threshold
The capacity of one sector of physical storage. The sector size is 512 bytes and
is common to all open systems.
Sector Size
The time at which the storage pool was created. Creation Time
The user who created the storage pool. Created By
The last time a user made a modification to the storage pool. This includes expand-
ing the storage pool, shrinking the storage pool, changing the free capacity alert
threshold for the storage pool, and editing the comment field for the storage pool.
Modification Time
The user who last modified the storage pool. Modified By
Stripe set information—Virtual Disk tab
The Virtual Disk tab displays information about all virtual disks that are mapped to the selected stripe
set. A virtual disk is mapped to a stripe set if you add the stripe set to a storage pool and allocate a
