However, you can run the Neoview Query Viewer and Neoview Query Workbench tools as
those tools do not require access to the Neoview Repository.
The Connect dialog provides a Test option that allows you to check your connection to the
Neoview platform. After you select OK, NPA connects to the Neoview platform and the workload
filter dimensions in the Triage Space. If the Fetch Timeline is enabled, NPA starts downloading
information to populate and build up the Timeline Controller and the individual system and
workload graphs.
Additionally, when a successful connection is established to the Neoview platform, the toolbar
icons for Connect, Disconnect, and Reconnect functions are enabled and change their icons
according to the state. In the disconnected state, the Connect button shows a “plug/connect”
icon. When connected, NPA shows a connected power plug:

The Cancel button discards changes and closes the Connect dialog.
Disconnect/Reconnect to the Neoview Platform
To go offline from the Neoview platform, choose the Disconnect (red “X”) icon. To reconnect
to the Neoview platform, choose the Reconnect icon.You might need to reconnect in cases of
error or connection timeouts or failures. If you disconnect a workspace from the Neoview platform,
all tools will stop updating and any queries that you executed or explain plans generated in the
Query Workbench pane will complete immediately with errors.
