characteristics are outlined below.

An easily removable, two channels, resident RAID array controller and
an adjacent empty slot for a second (redundant) controller (optional)

SCSI connections to multiple device expansion shelves are made using
Trilink adapters

The front of the shelf contains two LEDs that monitor the status of the
shelf and the shelf AC power supplies

The front of the shelf has a toggle switch that allows the operator to
disable the shelf alarm during an error condition

The shelf host I/O assemblies each contain two 68-pin VHDCI female
SCSI connectors that interconnect the host systems to the RAID
controller

Each host I/O assembly contains a 9-pin serial port connector (for
controller configuration) and a 9-pin UPS monitor connector

Two AC power supplies (one redundant) that power the shelf
components

The shelf contains two dual-speed, plug-in blowers for shelf cooling
