NOTE:
If you split the External RAID Group, RAID Group, XP Thin Provisioning pool, and Snapshot
into two schedules, you will not see the Total I/O, Total MB/s and Total Tracks fields in
the Grid Display screen.
8.
Depending on what you select in the Components drop-down list, the Components list box is
populated. (If you select the component RAID GROUP, a list of RAID groups configured for the
array is listed.)
Select the DKC, Port, and RAID Group resources for which you want to schedule performance
data collection, using Add >>.
You can remove the DKC, Port, and RAID Group components from the Selected Items list box by
selecting an item and clicking Remove <<.
You can select all components in the Components list box by clicking Add All >>. This is mandatory
for Continuous Access Journal, Snapshot, and XP Thin Provisioning components.
You can remove all selected items by clicking Remove All <<.
If you select all the items in all the three components in your schedule, you must set a minimum
frequency of 15 minutes and a maximum of 60 minutes.
NOTE:
You can have two schedules per DKC. The second schedule must include all the components
not selected in the first schedule.
NOTE:
If you have selected more than one command device, you must include all resources of the
component to the second performance data collection schedule.
TIP:
Creating two schedules you to monitor certain critical components more frequently than
other components.
9.
Specify the frequency of performance data collection of the components by entering the time in
minutes in the Frequency text box.
NOTE:
The collection interval for performance data collection cannot be less than one minute
or more than 60 minutes.
NOTE:
The latest frequency set for any component of Continuous Access Journal, Snapshot,
RAID Group, XP Thin Provisioning, and External RAID Group is applicable for all other
components for a given schedule.
