1.
Retry the operation.

If this does not solve the problem, reboot the server (by following the server failover steps
given in the StoreAll Administrator Guide) and then retry the operation.

Any storage components flash recommendation failed with Error: 0x1A2C
Error Message: Internal error - details: Shell channel closed while reading data with exit status:
Error Message: Internal error - details: Invalid Response from MSA controller
Error Message: Internal error - details: Invalid response or time-out occurred while reading input
stream
This is a known issue when the P2000 Controller, in an ssh session channel, gets closed while
reading data for a command after some commands are successful.
Suggested action
1.
Get the IP -address of the peer storage controller to the controller whose IP-address is
used for the flash operation that caused the failure.

Retry the operation by using the peer controller IP-address:
# hpsp_fmt –fr –c
2.
If the operation still fails:
a.
Log in to one of the controllers:
# ssh
b.
Restart the management controllers by using the command:
# restart mc both
c.
Your SH connection to the controller will close. Wait till you can ping back the controller.
d.
Retry the operation:
# hpsp_fmt –fr –c
