Retry the ilo2 flash operation.

If the flash still fails, try rebooting the server (by following the server failover steps given in the
StoreAll Administrator Guide) and then retry the ilo2 flash operation.
PCIeNIC NC550SFP & NC522SFP models flash not attempted with error: 0x105F
Error Message: Flash not attempted for PCIeNIC : This FW version of NIC (
does not support on-line upgrade. Please refer to the documentation for further information.
The reported PCIeNIC component’s active firmware version needs to be at minimum base-version
for the FMT tool to support online upgrade. This error occurs when the active firmware version of
the component is older than the required base version and the flash operation is performed.
Suggested action
Refer to the manual firmware update procedure given in the StoreAll Administrator Guide at the
Firmware Updates
→PCIe Network Adapter→Base firmware version requirement for PCIeNIC
components section.
Any server component flash failed with error: 0x1040
Error Message: Flash failed for device:
/var/log/hp/platform/fmt/firmware.log for more information.
Operation timed out while flashing the reported component. In this case, the smart component
might still be working on the flash operation.
Suggested action
1.
Get the smart component filename:
a.
Search for the reported component name in the file:
/etc/opt/hp/platform/firmware/Repository.xml
b.
Get the associated filename from the XML element
.

Check to see if the smart component is still running by using the command:
# ps –aef | grep
If it is running, wait till completion by periodically checking the above command.
It is important not to run the flash operation for the same component for which a flash operation
is already in progress.

Issue a flash recommendation operation for the component to see if the flash has succeeded,
by using the command:
# hpsp_fmt –fr –c
If not, retry the flash operation.
Firmware active version discovery and flash recommendation of PCIeNIC failed with
error: 0x1A0E
Error Message: Discovery failed for HP Embedded Network Adapter using
information.
This issue could occur when multiple instances of hpsp_fmt are invoked in parallel. A possible
scenario is one when the hpsp_fmt CLI comand is invoked by the administrator while the platform
monitoring service (hpspmon) is running hpsp_fmt for a firmware version mismatch check.
The latest PCIeNIC driver is not loaded after the StoreAll upgrade operation.
