Suggested action
1. Retry the operation.
2. If this does not solve the problem, it might be due to NIC driver version mismatch. In this case,
reboot the server node (by following the server failover steps given in the Administrator Guide)
and retry the operation.
StoreAll 9730 storage components
Any storage component flash failed with Error: 0x1040
Error Message: Flash failed for device: : operation timed out; check log file
/var/log/hp/platform/fmt/firmware.log for more information.
FMT timed out while flashing the reported component. In this case, the smart component might still
be working on the flash operation.
Suggested action
1. Get the smart component filename:
a.
Search for the reported component name in the file:
/etc/opt/hp/platform/firmware/Repository.xml
b. Get the associated filename from the XML element file-namefilename>
.
2. Check to see if the smart component is still running by using the command:
# ps –aef | grep
If it is running, wait till completion by periodically checking the above command.
3. Issue a flash recommendation operation for the component to see if flash has succeeded using
the command:
# hpsp_fmt –fr –c
If not, retry the flash operation.
Flash not attempted or failed for storage components with one of the errors: 0x1035,
0x1031, 0x102C
0x1035 - Flash not attempted for HP Storage Enclosure I/O Module using : Hardware
is not present on this server.
0x1031 - Failed to retrieve HDD information before flashing HP Storage Enclosure Hard Disk Drives

0x102C - Flash not attempted for HP Storage Enclosure I/O Module using : no
redundant paths to enclosure drives.
Either the enclosure I/O module is not properly seated, or the SAS cables are not inserted properly
into the enclosure I/O modules and SAS switches.
Suggested action
1. Make sure that the enclosure I/O modules are seated properly and the SAS cables are inserted
correctly into the enclosure I/O modules and SAS switches.
2. Retry the operation.
Enclosure I/O module flash failure with error: 0x1A19
Error Message: command "show interconnect list" failed for Onboard Administrator: operation
