Description

Item

Displays the connected storage system, LDKC, CU grouping (grouping each 16 CUs), and
the CUs that contain LVIs (CUs without LVIs are not displayed). Select the desired CU to display
the LVIs for that CU. You can only select one CU at a time.

Tree

Shows the operation(s) you have specified but not yet applied to the system. You can change
or delete the operations when you right-click the item in the Preview list.

Preview List

Opens the Display Filter dialog box, that allows you to control which volumes are displayed
in the list by CU, pair type (sync and/or async), volume type (M-VOL and/or R-VOL), CT
group, path type, and pair status.

Display Filter

Used to export status information for the LDEV to a text file.

Export

The pair/volume shows volume and pair information. The list can be sorted by column in ascending or descending
order.

The list contains the following fields:

LDKC number, CU number, and LDEV ID of this volume of the pair.

VOL

The icons are:

: Simplex

: M-VOL

: R-VOL

: Simplex. The volume is not currently assigned to a Continuous Access Synchronous Z

pair. When the initial copy is started by a paircreate operation, the volume status changes
to COPY.

Status

: Pending Duplex. The initial copy operation is in progress. Data on the pair is not fully

identical. When the initial copy is complete, the status will change to PAIR.

: Duplex. The volume is currently assigned to a pair, and the pair is synchronized. All

updates from the host to the M-VOL are duplicated at the R-VOL.

: Suspended. The pair has been suspended by the MCU or RCU due to an error condition.

The volumes in this pair are not synchronized.

: Suspended. The pair has been suspended by the user (Suspend Pair), or the pair has

been released by the user from the RCU. The volumes in this pair are not synchronized.

Serial number of the paired system.

S/N

SSID of the paired system that you entered at RCU registration.

SSID

For the remote volume, displays LDKC number, CU number and LDEV ID. You cannot
successfully change these values.

Paired VOL

Pair mode: Synchronous or Synchronous-C. Synchronous-C means the Synchronous pair on
which the consistency group is specified.

Type

The M-VOL fence level of the pair: data, status, or never. See prerequisites in

“Create pairs”

(page 55)

for more information.
