3. To detect a cylinder operating abnormally hot, you may want to set a red color range for each cylinder
From approximately 30°F above peak EGT To a temperature well above any normal reading (approx.
2000°F).
Note: Blue, orange and pink colors should not be used as one of the EGT color ranges.
Set the CHT color ranges for each cylinder as follows:
1. Set a green color range From 0°F To the maximum CHT
limit for your engine.
2. If your engine has a cautionary operating range, set a
yellow color range From the cautionary operating range To the
maximum CHT limit for your engine.
3. Set a red color range From the maximum CHT limit for
your engine To a temperature well above any normal reading
(approx. 550°F).
Note: Orange or pink should not be used as one of the CHT
color ranges.
Red & Yellow Ext Warning Logic”: The External Caution and/or Warning Lights may be setup as follows:
“Disabled” -
This setting will disable any external warning.
“Off With Ack” -
This setting turns off any external warnings once they have been acknowledged.
“Sdy On With Ack” -
This setting keep all external warnings steady on once they have been
acknowledged.
“Yellow Off With Ack” - This setting turns off all yellow extenal warnigs when acknowledged but keeps
all red external warnings steady on. This is the perferred setting.
“Voice Warning File”: This line sets the voice file that will be played when a red and/or yellow warning is reached
(as determined by the “Red & Yellow Ext Warning Logic” setting).
