View and configure the switcher’s remote port’s serial communications settings as
follows:
1 . To enter Serial Port and Audio/RS-232 Input Configuration mode, simultaneously
press and hold all Control buttons (Enter, Preset, View, and Esc) (figure 3-57).

Press and hold the Enter, Preset, View, and Esc buttons.
Lit input LEDs indicate RS-232 is selected.
Unlit LEDs indicate audio is selected.
Serial Port and Audio/RS-232 Input Configuration mode also provides a way to
view and change the rear panel Remote port’s communication protocols. See
“Selecting the rear panel Remote port protocol and baud rate” in this chapter. NOTE

2 . Release the Control buttons.
N If front panel Lock mode 2 is selected and you try to perform step 3, the actions
are ignored; and the Enter, Video, and Audio LEDs flash. See “Setting the front
panel locks (
Executive modes)” on page 3-40.
3 . To toggle an input’s setting between RS-232 and audio, press and release that
input’s button (figure 3-58).

4 . Press and release any output button to exit the Serial Port and Audio/RS-232
