10. Maintenance
The SuSix ® sensor should be cleaned on a regular basis to maintain its
accuracy.
Initially the the transmitter should be cleaned once a week or every two
weeks until the optimal cleaning interval can be determined.
Cleaning the Sensor - Once a Month
1. Remove the transmitter from the liquid.
2. Clean the sensor with a soft, moist cloth and clean water. A mild deter-
gent or dishwashing liquid may be used.
3. Dry the sensor with a soft cloth.
4. Immerse the transmitter into the liquid to be measured.
Note: The accuracy will deteriorate, if the measuring optics are
scratched by for example a steel brush during cleaning.
5. The cleaning intervals may need to be shortened all depending on the
usage and the location.
Cleaning the Transmitter
When seen necessary the SuSix ® transmitter may be cleaned with a soft,
moist cloth.
Functional Tests - Once a Year
Electronics
1. Check the suspended solids transmitter calibration.
2. Tighten the terminal screws and ensure that all leads are connected
correctly.
3. A service contract maintains the equipment reliability and accuracy. Get
in contact with MJK’s national sales and service representatives.
