If necessary,
Empty the system

Carry out the Empty the system function for the following mainte-
nance activities (otherwise, continue with step 12):
• Change the valve tubes (T SET)
• Changing the pump tube of the peristaltic pump

Follow the instructions on the display.

Place all intake tubes into deionized water.

Start the rinsing procedure.

After the rinsing, leave the intake tubes in air.

Carry out the Empty the system function once again. After the
emptying is finished, the calibration and service menu is dis-
played again.

Carry out the required maintenance activities, such as:
• Change the liquid containers
• Change the valve tubes (T SET)
(see section 5.4.3 Changing the tube set (T SET), 79)
• Changing the pump tube of the peristaltic pump
• Clean the overflow vessel
(see section 5.4.7 Cleaning the overflow vessel, 93)
• Change the filter membrane
(see section 5.4.6 Exchanging the filter membrane, 92)
• Clean the filter membrane
(see section 5.4.5 Cleaning the filter membrane, 88)
• Perform Hydraulic check
(see section 5.4.8 Performing a Hydraulic check, 94)

If the Empty the system function was carried out:
Carry out the Fill the system function after the maintenance activ-
ities are finished. All valve tubes are automatically filled with the
connected solutions and sample liquid.

Optional (as necessary):
Carry out the Purge manually function to rinse the measuring
cycle with cleaning solution.
Restarting the
measuring operation

Carry out the Start measuring function. Measurement is started
and the measured value is displayed in the measured value dis-
play after approx. 5…7 minutes.

Carry out the Exit SERVICE function.
