2.4 Hard disk drives

2.4.1 Installing an IDE hard disk drive

To install an IDE HDD:

1. Use a Phillips (cross) screwdriver

to remove the screw that secures
the hard disk tray to the chassis.
Slide the tray backward until the
two tray lock tabs are disengaged.
Lift the tray from the bay.

2. Place a hard disk drive into the

drive tray, and secure it with four
screws.

3. Carefully place the tray with

installed hard disk drive into the
drive bay. Slide it forward until the
front end aligns with the front
panel, and the screw hole
matches the standoff.
