6.2.2 Windows ® 2003 Server
To install the Intel ® 82547GI LAN controller driver on a Windows ® 2003 Server
OS:
1. Restart the computer, then log in with Administrator privileges.
2. Insert the motherboard/system support CD to the optical drive, or the
LAN controller driver disk to the floppy disk drive.
3. Windows ® automatically detects the LAN controller and displays a New
Hardware Found window. Click Cancel.
4. Right-click the My Computer icon on the Windows ® desktop , then select
Properties from the menu.
5. Click the Hardware tab, then click the Device Manager button to display
the list of devices installed in the system.
6. Right-click the LAN Controller item, then select Properties.
7. Click the Driver tab, then click the Update Driver button.
8. The Hardware Update Device
Driver Wizard window appears.
Select the option “Install the
software automatically (
Recommended ), then click
Next.
9. The Intel ® PRO Network
Connections window appears.
Click the Install Base Drivers
button.
The LAN controller drivers are automatically installed in the system.
