Answering system settings
Message alert tone
When the message alert tone is set to On, and there is at least one new
message, the telephone base beeps every 10 seconds. The message
alert tone is preset to Off.
There is no audible alert at the handset.
To set message alert tone with a cordless handset:
Press MENU when the handset is not in use.
Press or to scroll to Answering sys, then
press SELECT.
Press or to scroll to Ans sys setup, then
press SELECT.
Press or to scroll to Msg alert tone, then
press SELECT.
Press or to scroll to On or Off, then
press SELECT. You hear a confirmation tone.
To set message alert tone with the
telephone base:
Press MENU when the telephone base is not in use, then press SELECT
to select Answering system.
Press or to scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT .
Press or to scroll to Msg alert tone, then press SELECT .
Press or to scroll to On or Off, then press SAVE . You hear a
confirmation tone.
The answering system must be turned on for the message alert tone
feature to be functional.
