A log can be made available to all users or only to certain groups of users as
defined by the user rights management system in IP Director.
To publish a log to given groups of users from the Database Explorer, proceed as
follows:
1. Right-click the log to be published in the Database Explorer.
2. Select Publish from the contextual menu.
The Publish Log window opens.
3. Select the user group(s) to which you want to publish the log in the
Available Groups area. Keep CTRL pressed for a multiple selection.
4. Click the > sign to move the selected user groups from the Available
Groups area to the Selected Groups area.
5. Select the Publish button.
All users belonging to the selected user groups and having visibility rights on the
clips will be able to view the log.
Note
If the Publish action is done from a directory, all log sheets present in
this directory and its sub-directories will be published to the selected
groups of users.
Note
User rights are set up in the User Manager application provided with IP
Director and can be set only by an administrator.
