Various transport functions are available in auto-chain mode to shift the auto-
chain play mode on to a clip than is not the next one in the sequence.
The following transport functions can be executed as described below:
Preload a clip
Double-clicking a clip in the Database Explorer will preload
it onto the player channel.
Then the user needs to press the Play shortcut (P) to play
the clip.
Load & play a clip
immediately
Clicking a clip loads it onto the player channel and plays it
immediately.
Dragging and dropping the clip to a Control Panel with the
CTRL button pressed will also load the clip and play it
immediately.
If the loop mode is active in the Control Panel, the clip will
immediately be played in loop mode. The auto-chain will
continue when the normal play mode is reactivated.
Load & play a clip
after the current
one
Pressing the CTRL key while clicking a clip plays the
selected clip when the current one is played out.
Note
When the auto-chain mode is active in the Database Explorer and the
loop mode in the Control Panel, dragging and dropping a clip from the
Database Explorer (with the CTRL key pressed) to the Control Panel
will play it in loop mode.

If different players are assigned, they will be considered as independent from
each other. Using the auto-chain mode in one of the window will not affect the
second open Database Explorer window.
If the same player is assigned, the Data Explorer window on which the auto-chain
mode has been used last is considered as the master window. It has the lead over
the player channel.
Using two Database Explorer windows assigned to the same player channel leads
to the following possible situations:
