Selecting Paper Formats
You can select paper formats by choosing the following menus:
M 84241 OK - (A4)
M 84242 OK - (LETTER)
M 84243 OK - (LEGAL)
Received Faxes Reduction Mode
To print a Legal format received fax on a Letter/A4 format page, you can reduce received faxes
using the following menu:
M 2441 OK - AUTOMATIC
This function automatically resizes received faxes: a fax received in Legal format will be printed
on Letter paper via the previously installed paper tray.
If you choose:
M 2442 OK - FIXED
The machine proposes a 70 to 100% reduction. Beyond this limit, the machine beeps for error.
This fixed reduction will be used when printing received documents, whatever the paper format
may be.
Discard size
The "Discard Size" parameter acts on printing of received faxes only. The number of lines of a
document can be too high for the printing paper format. This parameter defines the threshold
beyond which the extra lines are printed on a second page. Bellow this threshold, extras lines are
deleted. You can validate this parameter via the following menu:
M 29 OK - TECHNICALS
Using the or keys, select the 13> DISCARD SIZE parameter. Validate by pressing the
OK key.
Using the
or keys, select 291 > WITH or 292 > WITHOUT. Validate your choice by
pressing the OK key.
If you choose WITH , the threshold is set on 3 centimeters.
If you choose WITHOUT , the threshold is set on 1 centimeter
