Connecting a computer to the USB port (For Ethernet/USB
model only)
If you use the Ethernet Modem Router ’s USB port to connect to a
PC, you must install the provided USB driver software on the PC.
The driver enables Ethernet-over-USB communication with the
Ethernet Modem Router .
Configuring the USB computer is a two-part process:
f In USB Driver Installation Part 1, you install the USB driver
on the PC.
f In USB Driver Installation Part 2, you configure the IP
properties on the PC.
USB Driver Installation Part 1. Installing the USB Driver on the
PC:
1. Ensure that the USB cable is not connected to the USB
port on the PC. The installation program will prompt you
when to connect the cable.
2. Copy the USB installation files to a temporary directory on
the USB computer.
3. In the folder where you copied the files, double-click on
setup.exe to start the DSL Modem Setup Wizard.
