Using the Accompaniment Section

Hear the Chord

At this point you can “play” and hear the speci-
fied chord by pressing the
ENTER LCD button —
i.e. the specified chord accompaniment will sound
and the chord will appear in notation form on the
musical staff under “played CHORD” in the upper
half of the display.
NOTES
• Chords which are recognizable by the PSR-4000 CHORD
ASSIST function can also be entered by playing them on
the ABC section of the keyboard. The chord will appear in
notation form on the musical staff under “played CHORD”
in the upper half of the display.

Invert the Fingering as Necessary

Use the
INVERSION LCD [▲/▼] controls to
shift the fingering up or down the keyboard. Each
time an
INVERSION LCD [▲/▼] control is pressed
the next viable fingering (inversion) appears on the
graphic keyboard display and the musical staff be-
low “
selected CHORD”.

Stop the Accompaniment

Press the [START/STOP] button to stop the
accompaniment.

Exit When Done

Press the
EXIT LCD button or the panel [EXIT]
button to exit from the Chord Assist function.
