5.3.3 Classification

Overview

The SpeedTouch™ IP forwarding and routing mechanisms are based on the packet-
classified routing principle. With packet-classified routing, packets can be validated
against a set of user-defined rules and, if matching, consequently classified by
assigning a packet-classification label, in order to apply specific routing rules to it.
The Classification page consists of three section:

Labels

, providing a list of existing packet classification labels and abilities to

add/modify or delete packet classification label entries.

Routing Rules

allow you to append

IP Routing

rules to a packet-classification

label.

IPQoS Rules

allow you to append

IP QoS

rules to a packet-classification label.
