You can switch the Drive mode to Remote Control mode and take
pictures using the remote control unit for Pentax cameras (optional).
The remote control receiver is on the front of the camera. Operate the
remote control unit toward the camera lens.

Press the ( button in Capture
mode to display < on the LCD
monitor.
Depending on the previous setting, < or >
appears.
The self-timer lamp blinks slowly and the
camera is ready to take the picture.

Press the zoom button to adjust the zoom (for remote
control unit E).
The zoom position changes each time the zoom button is pressed in
the following sequence: tele ´ middle ´ wide

Press the shutter release button fully on the remote
control unit.

The picture is taken immediately.

The self-timer lamp blinks quickly and the picture is taken after
approximately three seconds.
Using the Remote Control Unit (optional)
Focusing may be compromised if you move the camera while the
self-timer lamp is blinking.
• The buttons on the camera can be used in the normal way.
• Ensure that the remote control unit is no more than 4 m (13 ft.)
away from the front of the camera.
