You can use the { button to quickly make the camera settings.
After registering functions to the four-way controller (2345), you can
enable these functions simply by pressing the { button and the four-
way controller, rather than having to display the menu with the 3
button.

Select [Fn Setting] on the [B Set-up] menu.

Press the four-way controller (5).
The Fn Setting screen appears.

way controller to set.

Press the four-way controller (5).
A pull-down menu appears.

Select the function to register and
press the 4 button.

Repeat Steps 3 to 5 to set the other
buttons on the four-way
controller.

Press the shutter release button halfway.
The Fn setting is saved and the screen returns to capture status. Refer
to Step 6 of “How to Use the Menus” (p.43) for other operations after
the setting has been made.
