Remove the top cover:
1 . Turn the computer upside down, with the front toward you.
2 . Remove the five Phillips PM2.0×7.0 screws (1) and the three Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screws (2) that
secure the top cover to the computer.
3 . Turn the computer right-side up, with the front toward you.
4 . Disconnect the display lid switch board cable (1) from the system board.
5 . Release the ZIF connector (2) to which the TouchPad cable is connected and disconnect the TouchPad
cable (3).
6 . Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×5.0 screws (4) that secure the top cover to the base enclosure.
