Regulation Voltage Delta During Discharge (Vreg Delta 2)
Vreg Delta 2 is the programmed amount of voltage drop from the Transition State of Charge to the
end of discharge (T SOC to the end of discharge (SOC = 0%)
• Range—From 0 to (Vreg - Vreg Delta1) VDC
(Ex: if Vreg = 500, and Vreg Delta1 = 50, Vreg Delta2 can be set between 0 and 200 VDC)
• Default setting—0VDC

Modes of Operation
The Liebert FS consists of a variety of operational modes. Each mode is based on a set of programmed
conditions. The Control Panel indicates the current mode and the status of that mode. Function keys
are enabled or disabled depending on the mode and status.
The Liebert FS modes are:
• OFF
• STANDBY
• STARTUP
• CHARGE
• READY
• DISCHARGE
• SHUTDOWN
• COAST
• FAULT
The Liebert FS is programmed to operate in a variety of conditional modes. The modes and status for
each mode will be indicated on the control panel. The Liebert FS is set up to transition through the
various modes with no or minimal user intervention.
NOTE
Programming of Regulation Voltage (Vreg) Delta User Configurable Parameters
• During a discharge the regulation voltage (Vreg) can be adjusted by setting the three
parameter set points described above; Vreg Delta 1, the Transition State of Charge (T SOC)
and Vreg Delta 2. (For more information on programming these parameters from the
Control Panel see 6.4.1 - Screen Tree Menu Functions)
• The Liebert FS allows for programming two different discharge slopes (Vreg Delta1 and
Vreg Delta2) and enabling a soft “handcuff” or transition before end of discharge.
(Ex: if T SOC = 20 then transition from Vreg Delta 1 to Vreg Delta 2 will take place when
80%, (Vreg TSOC), of the stored energy has been discharged, see Figure 45).
• Vreg Delta1 is used to program an initial slope from beginning of discharge to Vreg TSOC
over which the regulated voltage value will decrease and at which point a transition will
automatically occur to the secondary slope to 0% SOC at the Vreg Delta2 setpoint.
