DANGER
Lethal voltages are present in the AC terminals and cables in the device!
Severe injuries or death may occur if the AC cables and terminals in the device are touched.
Only appropriately qualified electricians are permitted to open, install or maintain the device.

Keep the device closed when in operation.
›
Do not touch the cables or terminals when switching the unit on and off.
›
Ensure and check the earth connection.
›
Disconnect the emergency power supply and secure against reconnection.
›
Do not make any modifications to the device.
DANGER
Multiple Hazardous Energy and Voltage Sources!
DC wiring is fed from multiple sources including internal capacitors.
›
Care must be taken to ensure that under no circumstances can the user access or touch wiring even
after the operation of external circuit breakers or fuse assemblies.
The electrician is responsible for observing all existing standards and regulations.
•
Keep unauthorised persons away from the device and PV system.
•
Ensure operational safety by providing proper grounding, conductor dimensioning and appropriate protection
against short circuiting.
•
Observe all safety instructions on the device and in these operating instructions.
•
Switch off all voltage sources and secure them against being inadvertently switched back on before performing
visual inspections and maintenance.
•
When taking measurements while the bidirectional battery inverter is live:
–
Do not touch the electrical connections.
–
Remove all jewellery from your wrists and fingers.
–
Ensure that the testing equipment is in safe operating condition.
•
Stand on an insulated surface when working on the device.
•
Modifications to the surroundings of the device must comply with the applicable national and local standards.
•
When working on the device, the DC and AC leads are disconnected from the power supply.
•
Observe and fulfil the "Safety requirements on batteries and battery systems“ in accordance with DIN 50272
2.1
Protection features
For your safety, the following monitoring and protective functions are integrated:
•
external temperature sensor (included as standard) for monitoring the battery temperature,
•
monitoring and control of the battery charge and discharge currents,
•
comprehensive and regular diagnostic of all components
•
EMC filters to protect the inverter from high-frequency grid interference,
•
Islanding detection
•
Grid monitoring* / disconnection in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4105
*Only applies when using external grid and system protection and external tie circuit-breakers wired in accordance with
regulations.
