Connecting the interfaces
7.3.1 Communication
The monitoring and control of the bidirectional battery inverter and its communication with a compatible KACO
inverter is carried out via the serial communication ports. Each port may have different electrical interfaces availa-
ble, depending on the application.
Only one serial port can be used for each port, however.

NOTE
If port 2 is used as the RS-485 interface and the bidirectional battery inverter is positioned at the end
of this bus line, the switch for the terminating resistors must be set to "ON".
7.3.2 Multi-phase configuration
For configuration of a three-phase system, both RJ-45 interfaces (Sync 1, Sync 2) are activated.
Both connection points are the same and can each be connected to one bidirectional battery inverter in a mul-
ti-phase system.

Sealing the connection area
1. Check the cabling.
2. Check that the cable fitting is secure and tighten if necessary.
3. Fit the cover and slide back until it engages into position.
4. Check that the position is correct.
5. Screw the fastening screw onto the front of the cover.
NOTE
Any cut-outs in the rear and bottom through-board must be covered following connection. Other-
wise the IP protection rating is reduced and the thermal design will be impaired.
