Making the DC connection
1. DC cables must be voltage free. Check that the device is voltage-free.
2. Prepare connection cables from batteries B+ and B-, the precharge and sense cables as well as the optional
centre point monitoring cables.
3. Remove the knock-outs for the cable screw fittings at the required points.
4. Fit the cable screw fittings
5. Insert the DC leads through the cable fitting into the connection area.
6. Remove the outer cladding from the cables
7. Remove the insulation from DC- sense minus cable and connect to the terminal "precharge B-" using the tool
8. Remove the insulation from DC- sense plus cable and connect to the terminal "precharge B+" using the tool
9. Remove the insulation from mid-point monitoring lines and connect to "precharge B mid" terminal
10. Remove the insulation from DC- minus cable and use a hex bolt and the tool provided to connect to the
minus pole.
11. Remove the insulation from DC- plus cable and use a hex bolt and the tool provided to connect to the plus
pole.
12. Close the connection terminals.
13. Check that all connected cables are securely fitted.
14. Tighten the cable fitting.

The device is connected to the battery.
NOTE
The device does NOT contain any fuses or DC circuit breakers.
The DC wiring must be equipped with a suitable fuse or circuit breakers. The fuse or circuit breaker
must be positioned in an accessible location for the operator and close to the battery system.
The connection points and areas around the battery and the entire system should be protected
against unauthorised access and access in line with the valid safety regulations.
NOTE
When connecting the batteries, a measurement is recommended directly on the battery poles.
It is essential that the battery temperature sensor supplied must be installed for correct and accurate
charging of the batteries.

NOTE
Depending on the installation type, ambient temperature and the required voltage drop, a cable
cross-section greater than the minimum cross-section can be used (50mm²).
