Installation and startup
DANGER
Risk of fatal injury from fire or explosions
Fire caused by flammable or explosive materials in the vicinity of the device can lead to serious
injuries.

Do not install the device in areas where there is a risk of explosion.
›
Do not install the device in the vicinity of highly flammable materials.
›
Do not install the device over a battery.
›
Do not install in the vicinity of electrolytes and corrosive aerosols.

Installation location
Installation space
•
Restrict access by unauthorised personnel,
•
As dry as possible, well ventilated, and it must be possible to convey the waste heat away from the device
•
Unobstructed air circulation,
•
Accessible from the front and sides without requiring additional resources,
•
Do not install the device or the corresponding batteries in a damp area,
•
Protect against direct sunlight and direct water contact,
•
For easy operation, ensure during installation that the display is slightly below eye level.
•
Observe local regulations when installing in combination with a battery.
Wall
•
With sufficient load-bearing capacity,
•
Accessible for installation and maintenance,
•
Made from heat-resistant material (up to 90 °C),
•
Flame resistant,
•
Minimum clearances at the installation and assembly location. (See Figure 7 on page 19)

Access by maintenance personnel for service
Any additional costs arising from unfavourable structural or mounting conditions shall be billed to
the customer.

Disconnecting a live DC connection can cause a dangerous arc which could result in hot and corro-
sive particles arising from the battery This could cause irreversible health damage.

Only trained and qualified electrical personnel are permitted to remove connections from battery
cells in line with appropriate procedures and safety precautions.

Observe the safety instructions from the battery manufacturer.
