11.2.2 Connecting the Shield Contact of the Cable Using a Shield Clamping Saddle
1. Remove the shield clamping saddle from the busbar.
2. Press the shield clamping saddle onto the shield of the stripped
cable until the shield clamping saddle snaps into place, and fasten
the shield clamping saddle hand-tight.
11.2.3 Installing Network Cables to the RJ45 Keystone Pin Connector
Optionally, you can connect the installation cables for the network to the modular patch panel. The module for the
network cables contains four or eight RJ45 Keystone pin connectors that are used to connect the network cables to the
keystone jacks.
Procedure:
1. Dismantle the network cable by 30 mm.
2. Fold the braided shielding.
3. Remove the foil shield from the insulated conductor pairs.
4. With the adhesive side facing the inside, attach the aluminum foil from the outside so that it is flush with the braided
shielding.
5. Lead the network cable through the cable organizer.
6. Insert the conductors into the slots of the cable organizer. Use the appropriate color coding according to the
standard of your choice.
