3. Select the inverter baud rate in the "Baudrate" field (unless "Ethernet" is set as the type of
communication).
4. Select [Save].
☑ The PV plant communication has been set.
10.2.2 Setting ETHERNET
If the devices of your PV plant are to communicate with the Sunny WebBox via Ethernet, you must
configure this type of communication.
1. On the "PV subnet mask" field of the user interface, enter the subnet mask of the communication
bus at the central inverter end.
2. Select [Save].
☑ The PV plant communication has been set.
Default baud rate
If not all devices operate with the typical SMA baud rate setting of 1200 baud,
communication problems may occur. Change the baud rate to 1200 baud, if necessary.
Only change the baud rate from 1200 baud when absolutely necessary.

PV subnet mask
This subnet mask enables the separation of diverse IP address ranges on the
communication bus at the central inverter end. The subnet mask is preset to 255.255.0.0
when the device is delivered.
