Audio setup
6.1 Introduction
Audio signals from various sources can be recorded onto four audio recording channels. These
channels are identified in the menus as:
•
ch1, ch2, ch3 and ch4
The sources used for recording can be:
•
the front microphone,
•
the line or mic. inputs at the rear of the camcorder,
•
AES digital audio signals applied to the BNC input at the right-rear of the camcorder,
•
one of eight embedded SDI audio channels,
•
an optional wireless microphone receiver (one or two channels), or
•
one of three aliased intercom channels (Sidetone, Engineering, Production or Program).
Audio signals are output:
•
on the rear 5-pin XLR audio output connector,
•
as embedded channels in the (HD-)SDI output signal, or
•
as AES/EBU digital audio signals on the BNC connector on the right-rear of the camcorder.
