14.4 Touch screen calibration
If the touch screen does not respond accurately to your taps you need to re-calibrate the
screen. To do this follow these steps:
1.
In the viewfinder menu, go to the SYSTEM

ENTER
PIN
menu and enter
your PIN code to set the user level to service level 1.

In the side panel menu, go to the SYSTEM
>
SIDEPANEL
menu.
3.
Tap the CALIBRATION button to start the touch screen calibration procedure.
4.
Follow the instructions on the screen.

When the touch screen cannot be used due to misalignment, push and hold the Home push
button
on the side panel display for five seconds. The calibration settings will be reset to
their factory defaults. After resetting, perform the touch screen calibration procedure.
14.5 Cleaning the touch screen

Always turn off the camcorder before cleaning the touch screen.
Use a soft and dry cloth (preferably microfiber tissue) to clean the surface of the touch screen.
Wipe gently and do not apply strong pressure to prevent damaging the screen surface.
14.6 Messages
The messages and warnings that appear in the viewfinder (and on the home screen on the
side panel display when it is set to day or night type) are explained in the following table:

Battery capacity is low.
Prepare to change or recharge
battery as soon as possible.
Battery empty

Switch off the camcorder

The power usage of the camcorder
