Note
Up to 10 package and license files can be shown on the display. To access invisible files on the
USB stick, first remove unnecessary files from the stick.
9.
The camcorder makes a backup of any existing package file from the camera to the USB
stick.
–
This file is renamed to “backup_package.zip”.
10. The new software package file is then copied from the USB stick to the camcorder and
checked.
11.
If the software package file is corrupt the following message appears:
Try downloading the file again and copying it to the USB stick, then follow the update
procedure again.
12. If the transfer was successful the following message is shown:
13. Press the Select button to do a full update or hold down the Exp. Time switch to do an
incremental update of the camcorder software.
–
An incremental update takes a few minutes: this choice only updates files that were
changed. A full update may take as long as two hours and overwrites all files.
–
The number of files to be updated is shown for each choice.
14. Once you have made your selection, the update procedure starts.
–
The following progress information is shown on the side panel display (you can also monitor
progress on the camera status display on top of the camcorder):
15. During the update process the blue backlight of the camera status display flashes. Wait
for the update procedure to finish (this can take up to two hours). Do not interrupt power
or switch off the camcorder during the update procedure.
