Note: The keyboard tests for the 88-key and 122-key keyboards are the same because
the 88-key keyboard imitates the 122-key keyboard. If you are testing an 88-key
keyboard, the key that toggles on the keyboard test screen may not be the same
key you press on the keyboard.
The actual keyboard layout and the numbers that appear on the display during
the KBD Test may be different from the ones shown in Figure 6-2. The test
display depends on the keyboard type and the switch settings.
Each key on the keyboard can be tested by pressing the key. If the key is operating
correctly, the corresponding key on the display station toggles from an open box to a
filled box and back with each keystroke.
To exit this test and return to the System Manager menu, press the Alt Test key.
Screen Alignment
This test provides a series of test screens to be used by service technicians to adjust
display station parameters. To display the test screen, use the Up and Down Arrow keys
to highlight Screen Alignment and press the Enter key. A test screen like the one in
Figure 6-3 is displayed. Use the Up, Down, Left, and Right Arrow keys to adjust and
center the data on the screen. Press Reset to return to the System Manager menu.
