Raid
The Icon has two mirrored hard drives synchronized using software RAID 1 (data that
is written on one drive is automatically also written on the other). There are three partitions
on each drive ( Boot, Root and Swap). The RAID Status indicates the current state of
each partition on each drive. An individual partition can be reset to insure proper operation.
The state can be OK, FAULTY , FAULTY REMOVED, or OFFLINE. If a partition is in
one of the last three states, clicking Reset for that partition will start the recovery process
for that partition. If the state is OK, clicking Reset will artificially mark it as FAULTY
REMOVED, and then begin recovery.
