4.6.2
Updating Software
To proceed with the software update procedure, assumptions are made that:
• The turboIP‐G2 is connected to a user‐supplied, Windows‐based PC, and:
o
The PC’s serial port is connected to the turboIP‐G2 ‘CONSOLE’ port.
o
The PC’s Ethernet port is connected to the turboIP‐G2 ‘MGT’ Ethernet
port with a user‐supplied hub, switch, or direct Ethernet cable
connection.
o
The PC is running a terminal emulation program (for operation of the
turboIP‐G2 Serial Command Line Interface) and a compatible Web
browser (for operation of the turboIP‐G2 Web Server GUI).
• The turboIP‐G2’s Management IP address has been recorded using the
turboIP‐G2 Command Line Interface (CLI), and the software version has been
identified using either the CLI or the CDM‐840 Web Server Interface ‘ADMIN
| SOFTWARE’ page.
• The latest software files have been downloaded or otherwise received from
Comtech EF Data and are available on the user PC in an accessible
temporary folder.
4.6.2.1 Updating via the Command Line Interface (CLI)
From the CLI Main Menu, select (7) Administrative Functions ► (1) Configurations/Actions
► Update turboIP-G2.
