E1/T1 Port Status LEDs
Three LEDs are located to the left of each digital interface on the front face of the SDM-
9606 blade:
SYN-AL
(top),
T1-E1
(middle) and
D-CH
these LEDs should be interpreted.
5.9.3
Supporting E1-75 on an E1/T1 Port
An E1-75 connection requires an adaptor for E1-75 operations, as described in the next
section). You must provide strain relief for the cables to ensure that they do not loosen
from the digital port. See
“Hardware Strapping for E1 Ports” on page 4-8
.

Either the port is not configured (State = DISABLED) or
it did not pass the power-up self test and is not func-
tional
Green
The digital link is synchronized
Amber
One or more Yellow Alarms have occurred on the link.
Note:
The NetPerformer assumes that the physical
link is out of sync when a yellow alarm is
detected, and brings down any active channels
on that link
Red
A fatal error has occurred, for example, loss of synchro-
nization on the digital link
T1-E1
Off
Either the port is not configured or it did not pass the
power-up self test and is not functional
Amber
The port has been configured for T1 operation
Green
The port has been configured for E1 operation
D-CH
Off
The D-channel is DOWN
Green
The D-channel is UP
