Playing Sources with
Dolby Digital or DTS
Sound
1 Turn on the power of the
playback component.
2 Turn on the power of the
receiver.
Be sure that the STANDBY
indicator turns off on the front
panel.
3 Press
MULTI CONTROL
buttons or the
FUNCTION
button to select the source
you want to playback.
If the DIRECT FUNCTION is off
you have to use the FUNCTION
button to select the source (see p.
79).

Press
RCV.
5 Press
SIGNAL SELECT
to
select DIGITAL.
(Refer to “Switching ANALOG/
DIGITAL signal input” on page 56-
57)
6 Press DD/DTS to switch the
□□/DTS mode on.
7 Start playback of the
component you selected in
step 1.
8 Press
MASTER VOLUME (+/-)
to adjust the volume level.
MEMO:
• You can only hear the sound on
DTS encoded discs if the CD or
LD player with DTS is digitally
connected to this receiver. If you
play a DTS encoded disc through
analog connections you will only
hear digital noise, not the
soundtrack. To prevent noise, you
need to make digital connections
(Refer to page 10-11) and set
SIGNAL SELECT to DIGITAL.

1 Encienda el componente
reproductor.
2 Encienda el receptor.
Compruebe que el indicador de
espera se apaga en el panel frontal.
3 Pulse los botones

CONTROL
o el botón

para seleccionar
la fuente que desea
reproducir.
Si la función directa está
desactivado tendrá que utilizar el
botón FUNCTION para seleccionar
la fuente (consulte la página 79).
4 Pulse
RCV.
5 Pulse
SIGNAL SELECT
para
seleccionar DIGITAL.
(Consulte "Cambio de la señal.de
entrada ANALÓGICA/DIGITAL" la
página 56-57).
6 Pulse DG/DTS para activar el
modo DD/DTS.
7 Comience la reproducción
del componente que
seleccionó en el paso 1.
8 Pulse
MASTER VOLUME (+/-)
para ajustar el nivel de
volumen.
MEMO:
• Sólo podrá audiciónr el sonido de
discos codificados con DTS si el
reproductor de CDs o LDs con
DTS está conectado digitalmente a
este receptor. Si reproduce un
disco codificado con DTS a través
de conexiones analógicas sólo
audiciónrá interferencias digitales,
no la pista de sonido. Para evitar
los ruidos, necesitará efectuar
conexiones digitales (consulte las
páginas 10-11) y ajustar SIGNAL
SELECT a "DIGITAL".
