NOTE: Maximum allowable frame size pertains to customer traffic only.
Reference Chapter 4, Latency/Jitter Test and Ping Generation for
minimum and maximum test packet payload sizes.
Maximum Frame Size - Sets the maximum allowable Ethernet Frame size the 9145 will for-
ward. Enter the maximum frame size between 1518 and 10000
Sideband Management - Enables or disables SideBand Management Channel (SMBC)
communications with a remote 9145, L351 or L357. Use to toggle between
Enabled or Disabled.
5.2.3 VLAN Configuration
Type 3 and press to access the VLAN Configuration menu. The VLAN Configuration
menu (see Figure 5-6) allows the customer to display and configure the VLAN parameters. When
all VLAN functions have been set, press to return to the Port Configuration menu.

5.2.3.1 VLAN Rules
Type 1 and press to access the VLAN Rules screen. Use the VLAN Rules screen (see
Figure 5-7) to configure the VLAN parameters listed below. Type the item number of the item you
wish to change and press . Use or to change columns. Use to
toggle between Yes and No. Type VLAN IDs and Priorities into the designated areas. Use
to accept changes. When all VLAN parameters have been set, press to return to
the VLAN Configuration menu.
