Viewing the Results of the Calibration
The drive calibration value for each band can be viewed on the KX3’s display and you can revert to the factory
calibration if desired. To view the new calibration values, the KX3 must be connected to the KXPA100 using
the Adapter Cable and the KX3 power must be set for greater than 10 watts. The KX3 menu will then display
the calibration value under
TX GAIN . The display will read ALC t X.X . The lowercase t indicates the new
calibrated drive level in the KX3 is now being used instead of the factory calibration level stored in the
KXPA100.
X.X is the RF drive level being provided by the KX3 for that band in watts.
Reverting to Factory Calibration Values
If you want to revert to using the original factory calibration levels stored in the KXPA100 for that band, hold
the
K H Z to unlock the control and then hold C L R to clear the new calibration level. The display will change
to ALC AX.X with the “ A ” replacing the “ t ” and the drive level will change to show the value stored in the
KXPA100. The process is per-band, so you need to repeat the procedure for each band you wish to return to the
factory calibration level.
