Remove all external cabling from the front panel.

Remove the power supplies.

Remove all GBICs.

Remove the system board.

Remove the fan tray assembly.

Install the system board.
See “Installing a System Board,” found earlier in this chapter for instructions.
2.
Install the fan tray assembly.
See “Installing a New Fan Assembly,” found earlier in this chapter for instructions.
3.
Replace the switch’s cover.
4.
Reinstall the GBICs.
See “Installing a GBIC Module,” found earlier in this chapter for instructions.
5.
Install the power supply(s).
See “Installing the Power Supply,” found earlier in this chapter for instructions.
6.
Turn on the switch’s power.
The switch automatically runs POST.
7.
Check for error messages by issuing the Telnet command.
