Set to. This dynamic field allows you to manually set the VRM 1 radius by
inputting distance units in feet and inches. The automatic default value for this
field is the length from the GPS transmitted position to the end of the tow.
Figure 7.10 - EBL/VRM Display
The radius of each VRM is displayed in a transparent box in the lower left corner of
the Chart window pane (see Figure 7.10).
Show EBL 1/EBL 2 at angle xxx.x degrees. The Electronic Bearing Line (EBL)
is a bearing line from the center of the boat that remains constant as the boat
moves. Use the EBL to measure the bearing from the boat’s position to a target.
EBL are based on transmitted GPS position and are displayed 15 miles from boat,
relative to the boat heading. You can drag EBLs to change the range and direction.
You can display up to two (2) EBL. The default setting for this option is Off. If
selected, the value for each EBL must be between 0-359.9
˚. The degree symbol
indicator R (relative) or T (true) will prefill based on selection on the Misc. tab under
System Options selection. The selection is T by default.
EBL angle is displayed in a transparent box in the lower right corner of the Chart
window pane (see Figure 7.10). Value is shown at a factor of 1/10 of a degree, with
an indicator °R to signify relativity to heading. This value will update as the line is
moved.
WARNING:
The EBLs will display with the Radar Overlay on but they may not
match the EBL values in Boat Properties.
