4. Remove retainer and spring.

Using the special tool stored under the walkboard,
carefully pry the wheel out about
1 ⁄
4
in (6.4mm).
6. Spin the wheel counterclockwise to remove any
remaining seed.
7. Inspect the interior of the meter for trash, damage
and meter slide wear. Some wear on the top of the
slide is normal. Excess wear is cause for
replacement of the slide (see page 106).

Push meter slide retaining pin forward in its slot.
9. Place alternate meter wheel on shaft and seat in
meter.
10. Place spring and retainer on meter wheel shaft.
11. Push retainer in, rotate 90 degrees, and release so
that cross pin seats in detents.
12. Close clean-out door.
