Speed Sensors
The standard 1510HDP, 2010HDP & 2510HDP does not
include a speed sensor, which is required for the optional
Seed Monitor. Optional sensors kits detect speed via
wheel rotation or radar ground speed.
If the tractor already has a speed sensor, a “Y” cable
(next page) is available to share its signal with the Seed
Monitor.
Radar Speed Sensor
This easy-to-install precision sensor may be mounted on
either the tractor or the drill. It is compatible with a wide
variety of agricultural cab controls, and may be used for
implements other than the 1510HDP, 2010HDP &
2510HDP when not spraying.
Your Great Plains dealer can assist you with installation
Magnetic Sensor
This economical speed sensor is drill-mounted. It relies
on a toothed wheel that is factory-installed on all drills.
Consult your dealer for installation.
Y-Cable
If your tractor already has a speed sensor, it may be
compatible with the Seed Monitor controller. Consult
your dealer for advice.
